About Us

Opportunity Cambodia was established by the Fletcher family and is further supported by our generous donors.

After two years and a number of trips to Cambodia, researching the country's problems and needs, visiting aid and development projects, and consulting with local village communities, we determined where our efforts could best be directed.

Opportunity Cambodia's mission is to develop and financially assist community based projects in rural Cambodia which will improve quality of life and provide opportunity through education and training for poor children who would not otherwise receive an education.

Although there are many NGOs working in Cambodia comparatively few work in the rural areas located far from the cities and major towns. We are therefore focusing our efforts in the more remote areas of Siem Reap Province. It is the third poorest province in Cambodia with some 70% of the population not having completed primary education. We are working closely with the local community in response to their needs.
